After the Alliance February newsletter was published, the Small Business Administration and the Farm Services Agency issued their FONSI (Finding of No Significant Impact). This finding was reached following another superficial environmental assessment (EA) supposedly reviewing the impact a 6,500 hog facility is having, or could potentially have, on Big Creek, a major tributary of the Buffalo National River. This FONSI, while disappointing, was not unexpected. The EA ignored any science that did not support the preconceived conclusion.
