“Reflections of Our First National River”, Grant Scarsdale, photographer
September 25 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Enjoy viewing the beauty and fragility of nature on the Buffalo National River through the photography of Grant Scarsdale. Grant is the eighth generation of family members who have continuously resided in Buffalo River country. A member of the “Buffalo River Watershed Alliance” and “Arkansas Canoe Club”, he is an active proponent for the river’s integrity and water quality. Grant’s presentation will include a brief history of his family, beginning with the settlement of Calf Creek (Searcy County) in 1839 and experiences on the river.
Grant’s work will be displayed in the Boone County Library Mezzanine for the month of September (and will be available for purchase before and after the program). In addition, he will offer a framed print as a door prize.
