Tyler Bend Native Bed Fall Cleanup, Friday, November 2 from 9:30 – 12

November 2, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Calling all gardeners, want-to-be gardeners and folks who just like to help!

Twice each year NCAMN joins members of the Buffalo National River Partners group to clean up the gardens around the Visitors Center at Tyler Bend. Join us on Friday, November 2nd 9:30 AM to 12 Noon for the Fall clean up at Tyler Bend.

This is one more opportunity to enjoy Arkansas outdoors!  Put on your gardening clothes, grab your snippers and clippers!  Volunteers will meet at the Tyler Bend Visitor Center at 9:30 AM.  We’ll weed, prune, mulch and “put the garden to bed” for the winter.  Many hands make light work!

NATIVE PLANT SWAP:  If you have native plants that have spread or just need a new home, pot ‘em up and bring them along to trade.  Seeds of natives and rooted cutting of native shrubs are welcome too.

WHAT TO BRING:  Work gloves, weeding tools, kneeling pad, leaf rakes, tubs for weds and mulch. If it’s a nice day, bring a sack lunch and we’ll picnic in the park.  If it’s dreary, we’ll plan to stop at Big Springs Trading Co. in St. Joe (yum!) on the way home. (Yes, they are open on Friday)
