National Park Radio Draws Huge Crowd to Steel Creek

On a sunny and warm afternoon around 600 people arrived at Steel Creek on April 23 to hear the ballads, folk, country, bluegrass and rock music of National Park Radio.  The event drew listeners from the surrounding area as well as from other parts of the state and even Missouri.

Many people arrived early and hiked or took a short float before the concert began.  Buffalo National River Partners volunteers were on hand to assist with parking, answering questions about the area and making sure that everyone had a great time.  Many thanks to the Buffalo National River park rangers for organizing the event and being on hand to enjoy the day with the crowd.  The concert was so successful that rumor has it there will be another one next year!

And  of course we want to thank our BNRP volunteers (the folks in the neon yellow and orange vests) who helped with the event:  Linda Bishop, Barry Martindale, Phil Milan, John Dupree, and Rick and Sybil Craig.  Photos by Terra Fondriest.  Used with permission.
