Transparency? Possible problems at C&H

Following an Electrical Resistivity Imaging (ERI) study at the C&H hog facility by scientists from the University of Oklahoma it was discovered, through Freedom of Information Act requests, that there are signs the sewage ponds at C&H may be leaking.  This information was not known to the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) until it was revealed by the Buffalo River Watershed Alliance (BRWA) at a public meeting.  ADEQ has agreed to an independent study to investigate the possible problems at C&H.  Now the questions are who will be allowed to observe the drilling for samples, how deep will the drilling go, and who will do the follow-up analysis?  The public is waiting to see if ADEQ will make good on the promise to be transparent.
