There is no more fabled place in Westark Area Council's history than Camp Orr, which has been in use since 1955 and covers approximately 600 acres within the Buffalo National River. The camp is a Boy Scouts accredited camp and hosts a variety of activities and camping events for Scouts and Scouters, including Summer Resident Camp for 11- to 18-year-old youth. Scout Troops from Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Missouri routinely attend Camp Orr. Mr. Swaim will talk about the history of the camp and its current use.
